Nat White, Class of 1999

This year’s Thurston Bowl honoree has been on the job for five years and is on his way to matching one piece of Ted Thurston’s record: the one time his Class Notes were a day late, due to a computer glitch, he offered to buy his editors a beer in apology. He needn’t have bothered. Working with someone so easy-going, helpful, responsive and reliable is an editor’s dream! When it comes to writing Class Notes, this secretary is notable for his friendly, conversational style. He is genuinely interested in what his classmates have to report and deeply committed to working on their behalf. He’s been plugging his class’s 10th reunion for more than a year now and probably has been gathering news since the moment he returned to campus. It’s no surprise that he’s a teacher and a coach. This secretary has been a team player from the start. For his kindness and enthusiasm, for his dedication and devotion to his classmates and college, and for five years of distinguished service as class secretary, the Society of Alumni is proud to honor, from the Class of 1999 Nat White.
